Be the Citys Villain Your First Villain Run
Fly, melt a block, spend bounty, and leave the street before the army owns you.
Be the Citys Villain is a free-to-play Roblox experience from No brainer studio (live since 12 July 2026). You are the super. You are also the problem. The city is a destructible toy; the wanted meter is the score; the army is the timer. This page is the first-session walkthrough. If you already slam well and still die at 55, skip to Survive the Army or Reach Wanted 99.
You do not need a code or a script to start. You need takeoff, two quiet buildings, and the discipline not to max Ground Slam on the first payday.
Join the right place
Open the official listing from the links hub. The live title may read [Update 1] Be the City’s Villain. Copies with similar art are not a shortcut; they are a different (or empty) place. Servers hold up to 25 players. Solo is fully supported. Bringing a friend is covered later on co-op tips — for run one, solo or a single friend is enough chaos.
Wait until Flight responds and the wanted meter is visible. If the HUD is still hidden, you are in a spawn sting. Do not dump a Chest Blast into the loading fog.
The four buttons (and what they are for)
- Flight — takeoff, hover, relocate. This is health. Bind it so you can leave the street without thinking. Controls if the hover feels drunk.
- Heat Vision — ranged melt. Your safe wanted engine once anything armored exists.
- Ground Slam — drop a block. Best income on a quiet street; worst animation when a tank is watching.
- Chest Blast — close burst. Pocket it for clusters and for rival supers, not for every lamp.
The powers tier list ranks those axes. You do not need the rank to start. You need to feel the difference between “I am in the air” and “I am in a crater.”
First five minutes
- Take off immediately. If you sprint down the boulevard like a robber in a racing game, you will meet the first vehicle on its terms.
- Pick a low district. Two or three mid-size buildings beat one landmark you cannot finish.
- Seed bounty. One Ground Slam or a close Heat Vision pass. Watch the wanted meter tick. That tick is the whole economy.
- Open the upgrade panel on a roof. Buy Flight until takeoff is instant. Then buy enough Heat Vision that you do not have to stand on the sidewalk to finish a facade.
- Move. Do not farm the same intersection until a tank arrives to collect you.
If you want the shop logic in list form, use upgrade priority. If you want checkboxes you can glance at, use the bounty spend guide.
How wanted actually works (beginner version)
Destroying city geometry raises wanted. Wanted raises pressure. Pressure is tanks on the street, gunships in the air, mechs in the hole you just made, and — later — rival supers at 55, 75, and 90. Hitting 99 is the win. You may continue after that; the design is endless.
Wanted is not XP in a menu. It is a heat meter that also pays you. Farming without spending is how the army outscales your kit. Spending without farming is how you hover pretty and stall at 30. Oscillate.
Do not treat 55 as “more police.” It is the first hunter breakpoint. If your first session ends there, that is a normal graduation into the army guide, not a broken game.
Combat hygiene for new villains
After every slam, take off. The landing is the vulnerability. Practice it on purpose in the first district while nothing is shooting.
Do not hover in a straight line. Gunships love a commuter flight path. Change altitude and heading after each building.
Do not dump Chest Blast on trash. You will want it at 55.
Do not shop in the street. The upgrade panel is not cover.
Do not chase a single landmark. A stubborn tower while armor closes in is how highlight reels start.
Public servers add extra villains who may slam “your” block. That is physics, not griefing. Relocate. The city is large enough.
Mobile and PC, first session
On PC, mouse-aim Heat Vision and keep a finger on whatever launches Flight. Chat is how you accidentally paste a code into the city instead of the box — click off chat.
On mobile, land before opening shop or codes. The joystick will steal the first tap. Lower camera sensitivity until the beam is a line, not a firework. Detailed binds are on the controls page; the live HUD is the authority if this wiki and your settings disagree after a patch.
What success looks like on run one
You do not need 99 today. Success is:
- Stable takeoff after a slam.
- At least one Heat Vision facade from a hover.
- One shop pass that bought Flight before slam radius.
- A death you can explain (“gunship while I shopped”) instead of a blur.
If you tick 40+ with that kit, you are ready for Reach Wanted 99. If a friend is joining next session, read co-op tips before you both slam the same mech.
Optional extras (do these second)
- Join the No brainer studio group so you see shouts; some Roblox games gate codes behind group membership.
- Skim Update 1 so you know what the live title actually means.
- Ignore executor videos. The scripts hub explains why.
Then go make a skyline problem. FLY. BLAST. DESTROY. is the listing pitch. Flight first is the wiki pitch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, wanted 99, bounty upgrades, and army fights.
Is Be the Citys Villain free to play?
Yes. It is a free Roblox experience from No brainer studio. Codes, when they exist, are extra — not a paywall.
What should I upgrade first as a beginner?
Flight, after a tiny seed of bounty. Then Heat Vision range. Full order is on upgrade priority.
Can I play solo?
Yes. Solo is fully supported. A friend is optional; public servers cap at 25 players.
When do rival supers show up?
At wanted 55, 75, and 90. Treat those as boss windows. See Survive the Army.
