Be the Citys Villain Farm Bounty Without Dying
Hover lasers pay. Slam snacks pay. Standing in the crater you just made does not.
Bounty in Be the Citys Villain is mid-run cash from collapsing the city. It is not Robux, it is not a lobby wallet, and it is not a promo code. Every storefront you melt, every block you drop, feeds the purse you spend on Flight, Heat Vision, Ground Slam, and Chest Blast while the army is still loading the next argument. This page is how to farm that purse fast without donating the run to a tank.
If you cannot take off yet, read Getting Started first. If you already have cash and still buy the wrong node, jump to Upgrade Powers and the bounty spend guide. Farming without a spend plan is how you die rich at wanted 40.
What actually pays
Wanted and bounty both come from destruction. The meter and the purse rise together. You cannot AFK the wallet full. You cannot inject it — there are still no verified game-specific scripts. The paying verbs are the four you spawned with:
- Heat Vision from a hover is the repeatable engine. Facades, mid-rises, anything you can finish without planting your feet.
- Ground Slam is a snack on a quiet street. Two intersections of seed cash, then leave.
- Chest Blast is a mop for a cluster you already committed to, not a farm loop. Emptying blast on lamp posts is how 55 finds you dry.
- Flight does not print bounty. It prints time — the only resource that lets the other three keep paying.
The powers tier list ranks those axes. Farm with the rank, not against it.
The airborne route (default)
Once you own a stable hover, stop treating the sidewalk as a workplace.
- Pick a district of medium buildings, not a landmark you cannot finish.
- Take a lazy S-curve through the skyline: facade, move, facade, change altitude.
- Short Heat Vision bursts while moving beat a channeled beam gunships can pre-aim.
- Relocate after every intersection. Armor camps memory. Fresh blocks pay the same and have less of you in them.
- If a gunship leads you, break mass, change height, resume on a new heading. Do not “finish the building” as a dare.
This is the same motion the Reach Wanted 99 route uses for phases 2 and 4. Farm bounty and farm wanted are the same physical act. The difference is whether you open the shop on a roof before the army outscales the kit.
A good airborne minute looks boring on a recap: six facades, two altitude changes, one roof shop, zero slams. That minute funds more Flight than a cinematic crater that also funds a funeral.
Slam snacks (early, and only then)
Slam is legal income in the first district. It is not a personality.
Do. Drop one or two quiet blocks for seed bounty. Pre-pick the takeoff heading. Leave on that heading. Buy Flight until leaving the street is instant. Then slam becomes optional.
Don’t. Chain slams until a tank exists. Don’t reload a slam in the open because the building is “almost dead.” Don’t slam the hole a mech already owns. The Survive the Army page is the tax table for those mistakes.
If you are still a slam rusher at wanted 40, you are farming the army a highlight, not farming yourself an upgrade. Convert. Heat Vision from altitude is slower per building and faster per life.
Shop pauses are part of the farm
Bounty in the pocket does nothing. Bounty on a corpse is architecture. The farm is a loop: destroy → land on a roof → buy one planned node → leave → destroy.
- Never open the panel in the street you just slammed.
- Never browse. The bounty spend guide exists so the click is already decided.
- If the hunter breakpoint is within a few wanted ticks, the node is Chest Blast or Flight, not slam radius. See Upgrade Powers.
- Mobile: land first. The joystick plus a shop modal is how you drift into a mech.
A “fast farm” that never shops is a slow death. The army scales with wanted. Your kit has to scale with bounty spent, not bounty held.
Hunter windows are not farm windows
Wanted 55, 75, and 90 are rival super hunts. Ten ticks early, stop slam-chaining. Confirm Chest Blast. Confirm sky, not a canyon. Farm the edge of the district with medium facades only if the hunter is not on you. Details live on rival supers and the 99 route.
Dying with a full purse at 54 because you squeezed “one more block” is the most expensive farm in the game. The bounty does not carry. The lesson does.
District rotation (the hidden speed hack)
Camping one crater feels efficient because the rubble looks like progress. It is not. Mechs spawn in the wound. Tanks own the boulevard you keep crossing. Gunships learn your hover height.
Rotate:
- Finish a cluster → leave the zip code.
- If another villain on a 25-player server steals your block, thank them for the server-wide wanted and move. Public extras are weather.
- In a duo, the farmer takes the next block on a shared heading while peel watches the sky. Role talk is on Co-op Tips.
New geometry pays. Old holes collect armor.
Duo farm without stacking craters
Two Heat Visions on neighboring facades is a real speed-up. Two Ground Slams in the same pit is a mech invitation.
- Farmer: slam snacks only when peel says the street is empty, then laser.
- Peel: do not “help” by slamming the same hole. Laser and hold blast.
- Stagger shops so one villain is always flying lookout.
- Assume separate bounty. Both of you still buy Flight. A dead farmer is a solo run with extra guilt.
The Medic pass can recover a downed partner. It cannot recover a shared crater policy. Buy heals after you buy discipline — notes on the Medic pass page.
After 99: farm for endless, not for a second win
Wanted 99 is the published win. You may keep going. The army will not get nicer. Farm the same way: medium buildings, hover, hold blast, luxury slam only if takeoff is a reflex. If you are chasing the Wanted 300 badge, the farm does not change — the patience does. Reset when the session is not fun. Ninety-nine already counted.
Failure log (read yours)
| What you did | What you actually farmed | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Slam chain at 30 | A tank highlight | Seed, then hover laser |
| Straight hover over one roof | Gunship lead | S-curve, change altitude |
| Shop in an intersection | A rocket | Roof only, one node |
| Banked 80% “for later” | An underleveled death | Spend Flight / range now |
| Farmed through 54 | A hunter reset | Pocket blast, hold sky |
| Same crater all session | A mech arena | Change zip codes |
Codes, when they exist, are extra bounty — redeem on the codes hub, then return to this route. They will not skip the farm. Scripts that promise infinite bounty are still unverified advertising.
Bounty is a stream. Keep the tap open from altitude. Spend it like the upgrade priority card already decided the click. The city can keep the crater; you came for the purse.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, wanted 99, bounty upgrades, and army fights.
What is the fastest way to farm bounty in Be the Citys Villain?
Hover Heat Vision on medium buildings, with slam snacks only on empty streets. Shop Flight and laser range on roofs. Do not camp one crater.
Should I Ground Slam to farm faster?
Early, for seed cash, yes. After armor exists, slam is a snack with a planned takeoff. Late slam chains farm deaths. See Survive the Army.
When should I stop farming and shop?
As soon as you can buy the next planned node on a roof — especially Flight, Heat Vision range, or Chest Blast before 55. Use the bounty spend guide.
Does bounty persist if I die?
Treat unspent bounty as lost with the run. That is why roof shops are part of the farm, not a later chore.
