Be the Citys Villain Hunters at 55, 75, and 90

Rival supers are not extra tanks. They are boss windows on the wanted meter — prep blast, keep the sky, then leave.

Rival Super Hunters

The live listing for Be the Citys Villain is blunt: rival supers hunt you at wanted 55, 75, and 90. Those numbers are not flavor text and they are not a PVP ranking of other human villains. They are three gated hunter windows on the way to the wanted 99 win. This page is the window manual. Army hardware — tanks, gunships, mechs — lives on Survive the Army. Come here when your deaths start at a breakpoint, not at a boulevard.

There is no extra YouTube embed on this article. Hunter footage already sits on the 99 route and the army guide; we will not reuse a video ID to decorate a sibling page.

Hunters are not cops

Tanks own ground sightlines. Gunships own predictable air. Mechs own the crater you opened. A rival super is a hunter with the same fantasy kit pointed at you: flight, melt, slam, burst. If you play 55 like “more police,” you will Ground Slam into a peer and donate the run.

Treat each gate as a boss arena with a published spawn tick:

  • 55 — first exam. Most new villains fail here because the early slam habit is still on.
  • 75 — second exam, less health for ego, more gunships in the neighborhood.
  • 90 — last exam before the nine-tick close to 99.

Human players on a 25-player public server are separate weather. They can look like supers. They are not the 55/75/90 contract. Do not wait for a stranger to “be the hunter” and do not report a wanted-gated NPC as a cheater.

Shared rules for every window

Ten ticks early. Stop slam-chaining at 45, 65, and 80 — give yourself a buffer, not a dare at 54. Confirm Chest Blast is available. Confirm you have sky, not a canyon you slammed into existence. Confirm Flight takeoff is a reflex. The powers tier list exists so this kit is already bought: Flight S, laser as poke, blast as the spend, slam as a last resort that plants you in their pit.

During. Kite with Flight. Poke with Heat Vision. Spend Chest Blast when the rival commits (slam, close blast, hard chase), not when you are nervous at 200 meters. After you spend, leave. You are not here to honor-duel on the pavement. You are here to make 99.

After. Do not dump remaining bounty into slam radius as a celebration. Buy whatever just almost killed you — usually air control or blast recovery — then resume medium facades. Shop on a roof. The upgrade powers panel is not i-frames.

If you lose the sky. Do not greed the last building. Survive. Wanted does not decay because you took ten seconds to be alive. Reset the district if the hunter still owns the hole.

Window 55 — graduate out of slam

Fifty-five is where slam rushers go to become recaps.

Prep. First Chest Blast node should already exist. Heat Vision should already work from a hover. If you arrive at 54 as a walking crater, you do not have a hunter problem; you have a Getting Started problem. Abort the gate, buy Flight, and take the L.

Fight. Altitude default. Let them commit a ground beat. Blast. Change heading and height. Do not reload slam “to show them.” Poke the facade at the edge of the arena only if they are not on you.

Common 55 deaths. Shop panel in the intersection as the meter ticks. Accidental slam because Flight and slam share a finger (controls). Empty blast on a lamp at 52. Two duo partners stacking on the hunter for a double highlight.

Survive 55 and you have a real 99 attempt. Fail 55 twice in a night and skip landmarks tomorrow; run army hygiene instead.

Window 75 — same test, less patience

Seventy-five is 55 with worse air. Gunships have had time to learn your favorite altitude. Mechs have had time to sit in your “main” crater.

Prep. Blast cooldown matters more than a third slam radius. If 55 felt like a dry click, the node you buy in the 56–74 farm is blast recovery, not a wider crater. Keep farming with the farm bounty airborne route so you do not stall under fire.

Fight. Split vertically if you have a partner: one high, one mid, both irregular. Solo, never hover the same roof you used at 55. The hunter and the gunships both like habits.

After. Resume deletion. Wanted 75 is not a rest stop. You still need 24 ticks and another hunter. Medium buildings. New zip code. Hold the next blast.

Window 90 — close, then nine ticks

Ninety is the last published hunter. Survive it with the same play as 55, just less ego. Then you need nine more wanted ticks to win. This is where people throw the run on a saved landmark.

Do not.

Pick medium buildings you can finish from a hover. Ignore slam unless the street is theatre-empty. Hold Chest Blast in case the hunter is still in the neighborhood. Tick 99. Breathe. Endless and Wanted 300 are optional after that; they are not a reason to melee the 90 hunter “for style.”

If 90 kills you, spawn elsewhere. The crater is still owned. Rebuild hover on small facades. The meter is a new argument — do not sprint back to the highlight.

Duo peel (the only team plan that works)

Co-op Tips assigns farmer and peel. Hunter windows are why.

  • Peel takes the super: laser, altitude, Chest Blast on the commit.
  • Farmer moves to the edge and lasers medium buildings only if the hunter is not on them.
  • Neither slams the hunter pit.
  • If one drops, the survivor leaves. Reviving the highlight is how the second body drops. Medic instant revive is a tool for a safe pickup, not an excuse to stand in the arena — see Medic pass.
  • Stagger the post-fight shop. Double-panel in an intersection is a comedy death.

Public randoms are not peel. A stranger blasting near 55 is extra physics. Be polite, offset spacing, do not expect a callout.

What rival supers are not

  • Not unlockable roster members. You are the villain. They are the exam. The Players Hub is a mirror, not a gacha.
  • Not skipped by codes. A promo string, when one exists, will not teleport you past 55. Codes stays empty until the studio posts.
  • Not skipped by executors. ESP-on-hunters claims are unverified and unsafe.
  • Not proof the game is PVP-primary. You can still solo the contract. Other humans on a 25-cap server are chaos layered on PVE gates.

After you can beat all three

The windows do not vanish because you learned them. Every 99 attempt still pays 55, 75, and 90. The skill is making them boring: blast in pocket, sky available, slam habit off, peel assigned if you queued as a pair.

When a window feels nastier than last night, check the live title on Update 1 and rebind Flight before you rewrite this guide in chat. Hunter timing is a published contract until a patch says otherwise. Play the tick. Spend the burst. Leave the pit. That is the whole rival-super job.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, wanted 99, bounty upgrades, and army fights.

When do rival supers spawn in Be the Citys Villain?

At wanted 55, 75, and 90. Treat those ticks as boss windows, not as extra police. Prep Chest Blast and altitude before each one.

Are rival supers other players?

The 55 / 75 / 90 hunters are wanted-gated rival supers. Human villains on a 25-player server are separate chaos. See the Players Hub.

Should I Ground Slam a rival super?

Almost never. Slam plants you in their kill zone. Kite, poke with Heat Vision, blast when they commit, then leave.

How should a duo handle hunters?

Peel takes the super. Farmer stays at the edge. Do not both melee. Role split is on Co-op Tips.

Do I still fight hunters after wanted 99?

The three published gates sit on the way to the win. Endless and Wanted 300 add army pressure; do not assume a fourth listed hunter unless a patch says so.
