Be the Citys Villain Mid-Run Tools
Checklists you can actually use between slams — not another lore page.
Guides teach. Tier lists argue. Tools on this wiki are the short planners you glance at while the upgrade panel is open and a gunship is considering your life choices. Be the Citys Villain only has one real resource during a run — bounty — so the first tool is a spend checklist keyed to wanted brackets.
Open Bounty Spend Guide when you are about to click a node and you can feel slam radius glowing harder than Flight. That is the whole genre of page we will keep adding: practical, run-shaped, no fake calculators that pretend we have leaked HP tables.
What belongs on Tools vs Guides
- Tools — checklists, order cards, “if you died to X buy Y.”
- Guides — full procedures: Getting Started, Reach Wanted 99, Upgrade Powers, Survive the Army, Co-op Tips.
- Tier lists — the why: Powers, Upgrade Priority.
If a page needs a paragraph of philosophy, it is a guide. If it needs a bracket table you can screenshot, it is a tool.
Tool we have now
Bounty Spend Guide — wanted 0–20, 20–54, 55–74, 75–89, 90–99, and endless. Each bracket says what to buy, what to refuse, and which threat (tank, gunship, mech, rival super) should change the click.
Use it with the live HUD, not instead of looking at the city. If a gunship is already leading you, close the wiki, change altitude, then shop on a roof. Tools are not i-frames.
Tools we will not fake
- A damage calculator with invented tank HP.
- A “code generator.” Real strings live on Codes or they do not live here.
- A script key system. Scripts is a warning label.
- A roster builder. There is no roster. You are the villain (Players).
When No brainer studio publishes real numbers, we can build number tools. Until then, the honest tool is a priority card.
How to use a tool mid-run (PC and mobile)
- Finish the current facade or abort it.
- Gain altitude; confirm the sky is not a gunship lane.
- Land on a roof (especially on mobile — see controls).
- Open the checklist, buy one planned node, close, move.
- If wanted is within a few ticks of 55 / 75 / 90, the planned node is Chest Blast or Flight, not slam.
Duo pairs: one villain reads the card, the other watches. Co-op tips for the watch rotation.
Patch hygiene
After [Update 1] or a later prefix, node names may shuffle. The brackets do not: early seed, mid laser, late hunter insurance, 99 close. Recheck Update 1 if the shop feels alien, then come back to the spend guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, wanted 99, bounty upgrades, and army fights.
What tools are available for Be the Citys Villain?
The bounty spend guide is the live checklist. We will not ship fake calculators without official numbers.
Is this different from upgrade priority?
Yes. Upgrade priority is the ranked essay. The tool is the bracket checklist you glance at in the shop.
Can I use this on mobile mid-run?
Land first, then shop. The joystick will steal taps. Bind notes are on controls.
Will you add a codes generator?
No. Redeem studio strings on the codes hub. Generators are scams.
Does the spend guide work in co-op?
Yes. Each villain still buys Flight. Then split slam/laser as in co-op tips.
